The number of people evacuated from the flooded city of Kulsary in the flooded Atyrau region to Mangistau region reached about 15 thousand people, reports the national portal "Adyrna" referring to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
"At present, about 15,000 citizens have been evacuated from Kulsary, Zhylyoi district, Atyrau region, to Mangistau region, about 5,500 of them are children. 1641 citizens, including 741 children, were evacuated to 21 temporary accommodation centers. More than 12 thousand citizens stayed with their relatives. In Mangistau region, with the help of local authorities and emergency situations, 201 temporary accommodation points accommodating more than 83 thousand citizens were put on alert. Evacuation of citizens continues," the report said on Saturday.
