Citizens of Turkey, affected by the earthquake, told that they did not want to move from their Kazakh yurts, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.
A video about it was published on the KazInform Telegram page.

The governor of Kahramanmaraş province said that after the devastating earthquake in February 2023, Turkish residents living in yurts sent by Kazakhs did not want to move from yurts to container houses. This information was announced by the mayor of the region, who answered the question of the reporter of Kazinform.

“We've removed all the tents, but we still haven't been able to demolish your yurts. People are very happy with them. They don't want to move to container houses," the governor said.

We remind you that in February of last year, Kazakhstanis collected 18 millions to buy a yurt as an aid to Turkey, which suffered from an earthquake. Central Asian countries are reaching out to Turkey for help. Turkey is asking Kazakhstan for another 1,000 yurts.
