Minister of Sports and Tourism Ermek Marzhikpaev said what difficulties foreigners coming to Kazakhstan face, reported the national portal "Adyrna".
At the government meeting, Ermek Marzhikpaev said that there are several obstacles in the process of obtaining a visa for foreign citizens after arriving in Kazakhstan.
"The first is the requirement to have an invitation, which takes several weeks to receive and the tourist usually pays an additional fee. The second is that the process of applying a visa to a passport at the airport takes several more hours. Most flights arrive at night and this causes inconvenience to tour groups. In this regard, the issue of digitalization of receiving the invitation is being worked out," said the minister and added that now the country can be entered using E-visa only through international airports.
