By the order of the Prime Minister, a state of emergency was declared in Baizak, Zhambyl, Kordai, Merki, Turar Ryskulov and Talas districts of Zhambyl region. The reason for this is drought, reports the national portal "Adyrna".
A state of emergency has been declared in areas of Zhambyl region due to unusually hot weather and water shortage.
Due to the lack of irrigation water and abnormally high temperatures in the region this year, it is estimated that crop losses will be 25-30 percent lower than last year.
