According to information, on August 2, 2023, 20 km away from the village of Aktogan, Merki district, dry grass was burned on a 200-hectare area in a mountainous area.
"Aerial reconnaissance and extinguishing operations were carried out with the An-2 aircraft of Kazavia Forestry with a water collection device (1.5 tons). Water was poured from the air 11 times (about 16.5 tons) on the fire. "Aerial reconnaissance is being conducted with the EU-145 helicopter of Kazaviakutkaru JSC, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan," the report said.
