Aktobe police confiscated 22 packages of drugs from a 30-year-old local resident. The suspect found the white powder through the Telegram social network and said that he bought it in an online store, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.
The police described the incident as follows:
"According to the results of the analysis, it is determined that the substance obtained is a-PVP with a total weight of 16.40 g," the report said.
A search was conducted at the suspect's residence and eventually white powders wrapped in a plastic bag were found.
"It was determined that the total weight of that substance is 7.55 g of mephedrone," wrote the Aktobe Oblast Police Department.
A pre-trial investigation is being conducted under Article 297, Part 3 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Illegal preparation, processing, possession, storage, transportation, shipment or distribution of narcotics, psychotropic substances, similar substances for the purpose of sale).
