During the discussion held outside the Moscow City Court, the prosecutor's office asked politician Alexey Navalny to serve 20 years in a strict regime colony in the "extremist" case, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.

The court session of the Moscow City Court was held on July 20 in the correctional colony of the Vladimir region, where Navalny is serving a 9-year sentence in the previous case.

The second defendant, Daniel Kholodny, the former technical director of the Navalny LIVE YouTube channel, was asked by the prosecutor to serve ten years in a colony.

A new case against Navalny became known in April. He is accused of six counts: "Creation of an extremist community", "Financing of extremism", "Incitement to extremism", "Creating a public organization that harms the rights of citizens", "Involvement of minors in dangerous activities" and "Rehabilitation of people".

Before that, Navalny reported that he was not allowed to get acquainted with the case materials, as it was considered a prohibited substance in the SHIZO, where he was imprisoned.
