In Shchuchinsk, a 65-year-old school teacher died while saving a drowning child. The information was confirmed by the press service of the Emergency Situations Department of Akmola region, the correspondent of "Adyrna" reported.
The tragedy happened on July 12.
"A citizen born in 1958 drowned while saving a child. The boy survived, but the man could not save himself," said the board.
Aleksandr Rudenko taught the subject of initial military training at school-gymnasium No. 32 in Astana. The school administration expressed its condolences to the relatives and friends of the deceased.
"He was a compassionate and caring person. Thanks to his experience, knowledge, business ability, he won the love not only of teachers, but also of students and parents. This is a very painful, untimely and irreparable grief. We express our condolences to his family and relatives," the educational center wrote.
