The Department of Emergency Situations of the East Kazakhstan region answered the question of "Adyrna". Before that, it was reported to the national portal "Adyrna" that the firefighting equipment of the Katonkaragay district of the East Kazakhstan region had become obsolete. The Regional Department of Emergency Situations sent answers to questions about this.
According to the department, the new firefighting equipment in department #27 in Katonkaragai was bought a year ago, and the old one was 35 years ago.
"Today, there are 247 units of equipment in the balance of firefighting and emergency rescue services of the Emergency Situations Department of East Kazakhstan region, of which 125 are basic, 40 are special-purpose, and 82 are auxiliary equipment," said the department's response.
According to this data, the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the administration of the East Kazakhstan region buy fire fighting equipment on a regular basis every year. When new fire engines arrive, they are distributed first of all to border areas, areas with forest reserves, as well as to divisions with frequent fire incidents.
According to the response of the East Kazakhstan regional department to "Adyrna", there are 4 fire fighting machines in the fire department No. 27 in Katonkaragay. The vehicles are: Kamaz, released in 2022, Ural, released in 2007, Gaz-66, released in 1988, ZIL 131, released in 1977.
"Regardless of the year of production, the equipment is kept in a technically suitable condition. As a result, today, a 10 percent reduction in fires has been registered in the region compared to last year," the department's answer says.
