Today, CEO of PPF international investment and financial holding Jiri Shmeits became the largest shareholder of Home Credit Bank of Kazakhstan, the national portal "Adyrna" wrote.
Jiri Shmeits bought 25% of the shares of the bank previously owned by the Russian "Home Credit and Finance Bank" LLC, increasing his share to 34.7%.
The increase in the share of Jiri Shmeits was previously approved by the Financial Market Regulation and Development Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Currently, there are no Russian shareholders among the shareholders of Kazakhstan Home Credit Bank.
Jiri Schmeitz is an entrepreneur, and this summer he was appointed CEO of PPF International Investment and Financial Holding, which owns Home Credit Group. PPF Group operates in 25 countries by investing in various sectors such as financial services, telecommunications, media, Biotechnology, real estate and engineering. The holding has assets in the amount of 40.13 billion euros.
Home Credit Bank has been operating in Kazakhstan since 2005, and over 17 years, the number of bank clients has exceeded 5 million people. The financial institution shows the highest indicators of business efficiency: according to the National Bank of Ukraine, it ranks second in the sector in terms of return on assets (ROA) in 9 months - 5.94%, in 5th place among commercial banks in terms of return on equity (ROE) in 9 months, i.e. 34.08% made up
