In the West Kazakhstan region, maslikhat deputies and companies owned by them won 83.1 billion tenge through state procurement. This was announced by the ProTenge Telegram channel, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.
According to information, most of the deputies who are earning through state purchases are members of the AMANAT party.
"There is nothing against the law here. Deputies are not prohibited from participating in public procurement. Moreover, they do not receive a salary for being a member of the maslikhat. However, there is definitely a conflict of interest. Try to compare yourself," the note says.
In addition, in 2021-2022, it shows the three deputies who participated in state procurement and received the most funds from the budget.
Nurgazy Satbaev is in the first place. "Uniserv" LLP owned by him carried out road repair works and received 64.4 billions tenge from the budget.
Another member of the AMANAT party, Ivan Enyutin, is in second place. His company "ASFA" won the state tender for road construction. The cost of state procurement is 5.7 billions tenge.
This trio is summed up by Nurlan Sergaliev. He is also a member of the AMANAT party and the rector of West Kazakhstan University named after M. Otemisov. The university was financed from the budget for 3.1 billions tenge in 2021-2022.
"Can the deputies who work with the administration and receive money from them protect the budget and direct the administration to the needs of the people ?" - the note says.
