Adelya Balkasheva, a 12th-grade student of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Taldykorgan, received an invitation from the HULT International Business School of the American University in Boston. She was awarded for $10,000 grant.
It is a great opportunity for me to study business in one of the largest cities in the USA. When I got the invitation to HULT, I was really surprised. However, this is good news and it is also an opportunity to explore the latest ideas and the most modern trends, from business and technology to art and music, says Adelya in an interview.
At school, Adelya is an active member of the school's Wikipedia club. She wrote more than 400 articles in the Kazakh language for the Internet encyclopedia. She also teaches English to village children in the Zhetysu region at the "Ainalayin" orphanage.
