Almaty is the city of youth. There are many boys and girls who chase their dreams. But housing is a headache for everyone. The price is expensive, the rent is too high, said the President. For that, first of all, conditions should be created for the youth, the future of the country.
"The administration should think of effective ways to build rental housing that will be attractive to investors. But rental houses should not be too expensive. First of all, such apartments should be affordable. In general, housing should not be an unattainable dream for the youth of Almaty. Young people who have a shelter in their head will increase their confidence in the future," said President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev.
Another problem is housing shortage. For that, the administration should increase housing construction by 10 percent per year. But houses should not be built on visible land. Because land is scarce. The buildings are close to each other. The city is suffocating. Therefore, Almaty should meet the requirements of modern urban planning, said Tokayev.
