In the course of urgent measures, the Department of Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, with the help of the General Prosecutor's Office, stopped the activities of two competing transnational criminal groups. They imposed illegal taxes on the businessmen of their nation and tried to spread criminal ideas and conspiracies among them.
During the special operation carried out in the territory of Almaty, Atyrau, Petropavl, Aktau and Zhambyl regions, operatives with the participation of special forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested 11 members of the criminal group, including the planned murderer involved in the crime.
25 search operations were conducted at their place of residence, during which an arsenal of firearms, a large amount of foreign currency, as well as a large amount of narcotics were confiscated. A preventive measure in the form of arrest was chosen for those arrested. Measures are being taken to arrest other accomplices and bring them to criminal responsibility.
