Kazakhstan will borrow 640 billions tenge from abroad. The Speaker of the Senate stressed the need to seek domestic resources to ensure economic growth, the national portal "Adyrna" reported with reference to turkystan.kz.
According to Maulen Ashimbayev, our economy depends on oil prices. This is not true. According to him, this, in turn, will affect the budget deficit. And due to the budget deficit, it seems that we will have to borrow from abroad.
"On the one hand, banks do not lend to the economy or lend at high interest rates. On the other hand, we subsidize interest rates for small and medium-sized businesses through the money of the population. This year alone, we will allocate 170 billion tenge through the Damu Fund. Thus, while maintaining a high interest rate, we are spending more money from the budget to reduce it. Of course, this is good for both government agencies and banks. Because there is less risk and responsibility.
The budget deficit remains at 3.3%. 640 billion stenge will be received from abroad to replenish it. Domestic sources will be reduced by 780 billions. Then, within a year, the deficit is covered only slightly. But it is wrong to say that we do not have the funds, we have internal resources, "said the Chairman of the Senate Maulen Ashimbayev.
