Veterans of the Great Patriotic War in all regions of Kazakhstan will be paid at least one million tenge. The press secretary of the President, Ruslan Zheldibay is informed, the national portal "Adyrna" reports.
"On behalf of the President, this year in all regions at least one-time allowances of at least 1 million tenge are paid to war veterans, as well as material support for home front workers and citizens equated to them.
On May 8-9, individual meetings with war veterans and their families will be organized at the level of regional akims. Charity events "Bow to Veterans" will be held across the country.
The state will continue to provide all necessary assistance to our veterans, "Ruslan Zheldibay said.
The press secretary of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev also informed about the events on the eve of the Defender of the Fatherland Day and Victory Day.
According to the press secretary, on May 9 this year, Tokayev plans to take part in the traditional wreath-laying ceremony at the Eternal Flame at the Otan Korgaushylar monument in the capital.
In addition, the Head of State will take part in a solemn event dedicated to the Defender of the Fatherland Day and Victory Day on May 6.
