The Financial Monitoring Agency is working to prevent the theft of state funds allocated for the development of the field of physical education and sports, the national portal "Adyrna" reports.
A list of sports and health events, facilities, combined teams, mass sports events, federations with ratings and risks has been created. Also, work is underway to determine the ways and scope of financing the industry, including the scope of sponsorship.
According to the agency, since the beginning of the year, 21 cases with damages totaling 269.3 million tenge are being investigated. According to information obtained from open information sources, about 300 billion tenge have been allocated for the development of sports in the period 2019-2023.
The agency conducts an analysis of the purchase of goods and services at inflated prices, actual non-performance of services and other violations. As a result of the work carried out, it is planned to identify the reasons for the theft of budget funds allocated for the development of sports and to develop proposals for improving the mechanisms for preventing such violations.
