On December 29-30, renowned Kazakh singer Dimash Kudaibergen visited the Earth Temple in Beijing as part of the “Singing for the Central Axis of Beijing” project organized by China’s BRTV channel, reports the “Adyrna” National Portal, citing Dimashnews.com.

This historic axis, established during the Yuan Dynasty in 1267, includes significant landmarks such as the Earth Temple and the Temple of Heaven. Initially part of the same complex, the two sites were separated into individual landmarks in 1530.

During the project, Dimash Kudaibergen toured the Earth Temple’s attractions alongside Chinese singer Gong Linna. They tasted local cuisine and exchanged gifts. Dimash shared the history of the Kazakh national instrument, the dombra, and presented it as a gift to Gong Linna.

Dimash performed on the dombra, while Gong Linna sang the popular Chinese song “Jasmin.” Dimash also captivated the audience by singing the Kazakh folk song “Karatorgai” in his native language.

At the end of the event, the participants visited the Zhengyi Temple Theater, built in 1688. This venue is considered a cultural heritage site that preserves the tradition of Beijing opera.

Earlier, Dimash Kudaibergen also participated in a New Year celebration held in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province, China.
