The commission investigating the plane crash in Aktau has decided to send the aircraft’s black boxes to a specialized center in Brazil. This was reported by the Ministry of Transport’s press service on December 29, according to Adyrna.
“The CENIPA center is equipped with the necessary technical capabilities, certified laboratories, and tools required for decoding the data. This matter is under the direct supervision of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev,” the statement said.
To recap, on December 25, an Embraer E190 passenger plane belonging to Azerbaijan Airlines crashed near Aktau. The plane carried 62 passengers and five crew members, including citizens of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia. Among the 38 fatalities, six were Kazakh citizens.
