South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol, who had been impeached, has been officially removed from power. This was reported by the Yonhap news agency, according to the national portal “Adyrna.”
According to the publication, on April 4, Acting Chief Justice Moon Hyun Bae announced the court’s decision, stating that President Yoon Suk Yeol would be dismissed from office and would not be allowed to return to this position.
“The Constitutional Court judges unanimously decided to impeach President Yoon Suk Yeol,” the publication writes.
It is worth noting that on December 3, 2024, the President of South Korea declared a state of martial law in the country. Shortly afterward, the South Korean Parliament voted to lift the military regime, which had lasted for six hours. Following this, the opposition demanded Yoon Suk Yeol’s resignation and announced plans to impeach him. On December 14, the National Assembly of South Korea officially impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol.
