Mayor of Almaty region Marat Eleusizuly presented a house to Demeu Zhadiraev, a silver medalist of the Paris Olympics, and Nazim Kyzaibay, a bronze medalist, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.
Kanat Abulkhair shared about it on social network.
"At the initiative of Almaty region akim Marat Yeleusizuly Sultangaziev, with the sponsorship of businessmen of the region, Demeu Zhadyraev, prizewinners of the Paris Olympiad, received the keys to a 3-room apartment and 10 mln. Tenge, 3-room apartment and 2 mln. tenge has been handed over," he wrote.
It was also mentioned that the coaches were not left without gifts.
"The first and current coaches of Demeu Zhadraev were also given a 2-room apartment. Athletes from the Almaty region who took part in the Olympics received certificates worth 2 million tenge," added Kanat Abilkhair.
Silver medalist Zhadiraev performed a victory dance to the crowd as a thank you.
