The Mazhilis approved the candidacy of the new Deputy Prime Minister today, reports the “Adyrna” national portal.
“During the meeting of the Parliamentary Mazhilis Committee on Economic Reform and Regional Development, the candidacy of Serik Zhumangarin for the position of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy was approved. Serik Zhumangarin has been appointed as the Minister of National Economy,” the Mazhilis statement reads.
Following the Mazhilis’ approval, Serik Zhumangarin was officially appointed as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy by a decree from President Tokayev.
