In Kazakhstan, the vaccine for adolescents over 12 years of age has received temporary registration

The Pfizer-BioNTech Comirnaty vaccine (Komirnati) has been temporarily registered in Kazakhstan, the national portal Adyrna reports.

On August 23, the Ministry of Health announced that the Committee for Medical and Pharmaceutical Control had issued a temporary registration certificate for the Komirnati vaccine for a period of eight months.

The Komirnati vaccine was developed jointly by Pfizer and BionTech. The instructions for use of the vaccine state that the drug is intended for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.

Earlier, the Minister of Health Alexey Tsoi told that the vaccine would be available only to pregnant women and children. In this case, children will be vaccinated only with the permission of their parents or legal guardians.
