Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko commented on the situation in Venezuela in Minsk, addressing the events surrounding the alleged forcible removal of the country’s president by the United States, reports the national portal Adyrna, citing BELTA.

According to Lukashenko, such a scenario is impossible in Belarus. He recalled a meeting of the Security Council held last year.

“Last year, at a Security Council meeting, we assigned roles for the situation of ‘what happens if there is no president.’ Today, looking at what’s happening, it seems we got it right. Therefore, the Venezuelan scenario is unrealistic for Belarus. Even if such a situation were to arise, everything has been taken into account in advance,” he said.

The Belarusian leader noted that the events in Venezuela involved both collusion and betrayal.

“The Americans could have achieved everything they wanted without forcibly removing the president,” Lukashenko stated.

He also emphasized the responsibility of society and the ruling elite.

“To prevent this, each of us must know our place and do everything we can. No matter what kind of dictatorship or authoritarianism exists, it is impossible to force every individual. Therefore, we are compelled to stay ahead in this turbulent world. If we understand this, everything will be fine,” the President of Belarus concluded.
