The II Eurasian Forum on Human Rights "Judiciary and Human Rights in Modern Kazakhstan: Trends and Prospects" dedicated to the International Human Rights Day was held, the national portal "Adyrna" reports citing the university's press service. Speakers are from all jurisdictions of the world, which have established cooperation and partnership with Kazakhstan.

Sergey Pen said that the Kazakh judicial system has shown the highest standards over the past few years, proving consistency and persistence in implementing reforms. He wished the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan success in its reforms.

Maidan Suleimenov, Director of the Private Law Research Institute of the Caspian University, raised the issue of access to justice. According to him, access to justice means that any citizen can be protected by law in case of violation of his rights, and can go to court without any obstacles.

During the online forum, KAZGUU Professor Roman Melnik presented the doctrine of human rights as a basis for administrative justice. According to the professor, today the countries of Western Europe propose to absolute the importance of human rights and freedoms in public administration. He also suggested a number of important areas to ensure the effective functioning of the administrative court.

"In order for the administrative court to work effectively, we need to pay special attention to the doctrine of human rights. It should be implemented in the following areas: abandonment of the normative legal concept, in-depth study of the content of fundamental human and civil rights, focus on the decisions of international (European) courts, use their conclusions (decisions) as "soft law" in the Republic of Kazakhstan. professor.

According to the organizers, the results of the Forum will contribute to the improvement of justice and national law and will be reflected in new scientific works.
