The Turkistan TV channel has created its first animated project using artificial intelligence, reports the national portal Adyrna.
The animators named the project The Guardians of Turkistan. The idea was developed by the channel’s employee, Gasyr Kuralbai. An AI specialist completed the first episode in just seven days. Interestingly, the production cost of the first episode was only 70,000 tenge (about $150).
According to Gasyr, around $100 was spent on a subscription to a paid AI program, and 20,000 tenge was used to record the soundtrack for the animated film. He also mentioned that more episodes are currently in production, and there are plans to create a full-length commercial animated film to be shown in cinemas.
The film’s characters include Akpanter, a fast and brave snow leopard; Altynkanat, a sharp-eyed golden eagle; and Tasbatyr Ata, a wise old tortoise who has lived for a century. The story follows these mythological heroes as they protect the sacred city of Turkistan from danger, teaching children values such as kindness and respect for culture.
