Kazakh boxer Zhanibek Alimkhanuly, the world middleweight champion, defeated French boxer Anatole Ngamissengue—ranked 7th in the IBF rankings—by knockout during a boxing event held in Astana, according to the “Adyrna” national portal.
At the end of the first round, the Kazakh champion landed a powerful punch that sent his opponent to the canvas. The referee counted a knockdown just before the bell signaled the end of the round.
By the third round, the fight had become more balanced, with Ngamissengue launching several dangerous counterattacks.
However, in the fifth round, the undefeated Kazakh champion Alimkhanuly delivered a decisive knockout blow. This victory marked the 17th win of his professional career.
The President of Kazakhstan congratulated Zhanibek Alimkhanuly on successfully defending his WBO and IBF middleweight championship titles.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized that the athlete’s high-level skill, determination, and honorable representation of the nation on home soil is a great source of pride for all. The President also wished Zhanibek continued success and even greater victories in the future.
