President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated the people of Kazakhstan on the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, reports the national portal “Adyrna.”
In the message released by Akorda, he stated:
“Dear compatriots! I congratulate you all on the beginning of the sacred month of Ramadan! This is a period of great spiritual significance for our people. During fasting, virtues such as patience, contentment, compassion, and kindness are especially honored. Our citizens strive to help those in need and engage in acts of charity. All of this stems from the humanistic ideals of Islam. For our people, religion and tradition are inseparable concepts that complement each other. Our noble religion and ancestral traditions both encourage goodness and creativity.”
The President also highlighted that this year, Ramadan coincides with Gratitude Day, emphasizing the symbolic significance of this overlap:
“This carries great symbolic meaning. These two deeply meaningful and harmonious celebrations call for the further strengthening of our nation’s unity and prosperity. May we safely reach Ramadan after Ramadan! I wish you all happiness and well-being. May your prayers and intentions be accepted!”
