On February 15, representatives of former U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration traveled to Saudi Arabia to meet with Russian and Ukrainian negotiators, reports the national portal “Adyrna.”

According to Politico, senior officials from the Trump administration are heading to Saudi Arabia to hold peace talks with Russian and Ukrainian representatives. However, a Ukrainian official stated that news of these negotiations came as an unexpected development for Kyiv, and there are currently no plans to send a Ukrainian delegation.

As per Politico sources, the U.S. delegation includes Secretary of State Marco Rubio, National Security Advisor Mike Waltz, and Special Representative for the Middle East Steve Witkoff.

Trump’s Special Representative for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, will not be participating in these negotiations.

“The plan does not include inviting representatives from major European Union countries,” the publication states.
