By the decree of the Head of State, Magzum Mirzagaliyev has been appointed as an Adviser to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The previous holder of this position, Bolat Akchulakov, has been relieved of his duties, reports the Adyrna national portal.
Born in 1978 in Almaty, Magzum Mirzagaliyev has held various leadership positions in the energy, ecology, and oil & gas sectors. He has served as Vice Minister of Energy, Minister of Ecology, Geology, and Natural Resources, and Minister of Energy, gaining extensive experience in public administration.
Bolat Akchulakov, born in 1971 in Atyrau, is an expert in the oil and gas sector. He has previously served as Minister of Energy and Managing Director for Asset Management at Samruk-Kazyna JSC. In 2023, he was appointed as a Presidential Adviser.
