Kazakhstan achieved a historic result at the Freestyle Junior World Championship, reports the national portal “Adyrna,” citing the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.
Kazakhstan secured second place at the Freestyle Junior World Championship.
“In the overall team standings, the Kazakhstan team in moguls and aerials won 2 gold and 2 silver medals, finishing second after China (2 gold, 3 silver, 2 bronze). Japan (2 gold, 1 bronze) rounded out the top three,” the statement said.
The national freestyle mogul team won medals on every competition day. On the first day of the world championship, Anastasia Gorodko took second place in the individual event and won gold in the parallel moguls the following day.
In the mixed team event, Yulia Fiklistova and Denis Rastruba, who participated in the IV Winter Youth Olympics last year, won silver.
In the men’s individual freestyle aerials, Dinmukhamed Rayymkul successfully completed a complex routine and became the champion with 104.52 points, surpassing two Chinese athletes (Yuch Yunheng, Yang Zhicheng). In the women’s event, all medals were won by Chinese acrobats.
It is worth noting that the Freestyle Mogul and Aerial Junior World Championship was held from January 7 to 11, 2025, at the Shymbulak ski resort in Almaty. The competition featured 110 athletes from 13 countries.
