Today, January 6, a new governor has been appointed for the Turkistan region, as reported by the Akorda press service, according to “Adyrna.”
“By the decree of the President, Nuralkhan Oralbayuly Kosherov has been appointed as the governor of the Turkistan region,” the statement reads.
Previously, this position was held by Darkhan Satybaldy.
Nuralkhan Kosherov was born in 1984 in Shymkent. He holds higher education degrees from the M. Auezov South Kazakhstan State University, the Kazakh Humanities and Law University, and the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration in Moscow.
His career began in 2008 as an assistant to a deputy of the Parliament’s Mazhilis. From 2009 to 2011, he worked as an analyst at the Tax Committee of the Ministry of Finance and as a senior specialist in the legal entities tax audit department of the Almaty District Tax Department in Astana.
Between 2010 and 2014, he served as the deputy head of the Esil District Tax Department in Astana. From 2014 to 2015, he was the head of the State Revenue Department for the Esil District in Astana and the deputy head of the Astana City Tax Department under the Ministry of Finance’s Tax Committee.
From 2015 to 2018, Kosherov was the deputy mayor of Shymkent. Between 2018 and 2021, he held positions as the head of the State Revenue Department for Aktau City and Shymkent under the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance. From 2021 to 2023, he served as the head of the State Revenue Department for Atyrau Region.
Since 2023, until his recent appointment, Kosherov served as the deputy governor of the Turkistan region.
