Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s decision put Putin in a difficult position. This was reported by Turkey’s Haber Global TV channel in its coverage of the AZAL passenger plane crash, according to the national portal “Adyrna.”
The report by Haber Global highlighted that Putin was forced to apologize to Azerbaijan, and the following day, President Ilham Aliyev presented Azerbaijan’s justified demands.
The segment emphasized that the Azerbaijani head of state noted Russia’s lack of immediate responsibility for the plane incident. It also mentioned that certain groups in the Russian Federation proposed various scenarios regarding the event.
Additionally, it was reported that the air crash is being investigated by a team of 17 international experts.
To recap, on December 25, an Embraer E190 aircraft belonging to Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) crashed near the city of Aktau, Kazakhstan, while flying from Baku to Grozny. There were 67 people on board, 38 of whom lost their lives.
