This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on December 1, as per Adyrna.

During the talks, the parties discussed the current state and future prospects of bilateral cooperation, the implementation of agreements reached at the highest levels, and exchanged views on pressing issues on the regional and international agenda.

They emphasized the importance of enhancing trade and economic, transit and transportation cooperation, ensuring energy security, and intensifying joint efforts to increase Kazakhstan’s non-resource exports to China.

“In the first 10 months of this year, bilateral trade turnover reached a record $36.5 billion, exceeding the same period last year by 11%,” the statement said.

The talks also included a separate discussion on cultural and humanitarian cooperation, such as expanding educational exchanges, supporting scientific research, and organizing joint cultural events.

“Kazakhstan and China are not just neighbors but strategic partners capable of jointly addressing modern challenges and ensuring sustainable development in the region,” stated Murat Nurtleu.
