President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, has ordered the country’s armed forces to intensify war readiness. He made this statement following the “Joint Sword-2024B” exercises near Taiwan, reports “Adyrna.”
During a meeting with the People’s Liberation Army’s Rocket Forces, Xi Jinping called on the troops to “strengthen comprehensive war readiness” and ensure a “robust combat capability.” He also demanded the qualitative development of the armed forces and the strengthening of their strategic power.
“It is necessary to enhance real combat capabilities and strategic deterrence, and resolutely fulfill the various tasks set by the Party and the people,” he said.
It is worth noting that on October 14, the Chinese army conducted joint sword exercises in the waters around Taiwan. Senior Colonel Li Xi emphasized that the exercises serve as a “powerful deterrent” to separatist forces striving for Taiwan’s independence.
