The world-renowned singer Dimash Kudaibergen was named a goodwill ambassador at the Congress of Religions. This was announced at a meeting of the Secretariat of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, held in Astana, reports the national portal “Adyrna.”
During the congress, the institution of Goodwill Ambassadors was established, and the names of the ambassadors were revealed. To support the development of spiritual diplomacy, a statute was adopted on the status of Goodwill Ambassadors of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, with distinguished individuals appointed to these positions.
Among the ambassadors are Dimash Kudaibergen, General Secretary of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council Thich Duc Thien, Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem and All Palestine, Secretary General of the Muslim Council of Elders Mohamed Abdelsalam, and Deputy Secretary General of the Anglican Communion Jo Bailey Wells.
