On September 28, the opening ceremony of the monument dedicated to the great writer, dramatist and scientist Mukhtar Auezov was held in the capital.
The monument was opened by the State Councilor of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Karin and the writer's relative Diar Konaev.
Yerlan Karin read the congratulatory letter of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. In the congratulatory letter of the President: "Mukhtar Auezov is a great writer who has a special place in the spirituality of the nation. In his works, he skillfully described the peace and life of our people. The richness of our native language and the depth of our original civilization are clearly visible from the incomparable works of the writer. In fact, a person who wants to know the soul of our people should first of all read Auezov.
In addition, the event was attended by representatives of the intelligentsia, writers, cultural figures, members of the public council, deputies of the city council, and relatives of Mukhtar Auezov.
The work of architecture created by sculptors Aidos Burkitbaev and Timur Yermukhametov was installed in front of the Kazakh National Musical Drama Theater named after Kalibek Kuanyshbaev in Astana.
