The mayor of Almaty met with the prize winners of the Paris Olympics and congratulated them on their victory, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.
Akim Yerbolat Dosayev congratulated the athletes and coaches on their achievements and said that the people of Almaty have put a lot of medals in the basket of Kazakhstan.
Silver medalist gymnast Nariman Kurbanov, bronze medalist judoka Gusman Kyrgyzbaev, boxer Nazim Kyzaibay, shooters Alexandra Le and Islam Satbayev were awarded apartment certificates and cash prizes. All prize winners received certificates of 5 and 4 million tenge and keys to new cars.
All Almaty athletes and coaches, who defended the country's honor and participated in the Olympics, were also awarded with cash certificates.
