According to the regional department of entrepreneurship and industry, 28 business entities are included in the unified register of social enterprises in the Akmola region.

A social enterprise is a business whose activities are aimed at solving social problems of citizens and society: helping people, caring for the environment, providing jobs for people from socially vulnerable groups of the population, and much more. Social entrepreneurship is based on the manifestation of initiative in solving the problems of socially vulnerable categories of the population.
