President Tokayev signed the law on mass media, the "Adyrna" national portal reported with reference to Akorda.
A number of issues such as raising the status of journalists and strengthening the rights of journalists were raised in the draft law.
"The head of the state signed the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan on introducing changes and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on mass media issues," the official announcement said.
