More than 43,000 flood victims in Kazakhstan have returned home. Askar Sharip, the representative of the Ministry of Education, said about this, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.

"Atyrau region is under control. The monitoring of the water level of the Zhayik River is ongoing. Monitoring of the flood situation is carried out with the help of a drone. Dams are being strengthened. In the past day, the direction of water was diverted from 70 houses, water was pumped out, 202 thousand bags were laid," he said.

During this hour, 43,015 people returned to their homes across the republic. 6,338 people are in evacuation centers.
