Maqsut Narikbayev University is actively helping flood victims in Kazakhstan

On April 1, the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, at a meeting of the republican headquarters, called on local businessmen and large companies to help citizens affected by floods.

"I call on all representatives of domestic business not to stand aside at this critical moment and to extend a helping hand to people. It is necessary to provide maximum support to all residents and regions affected by natural disasters. Today, this is a common task for all of us," said the Head of State.

In this regard, Maqsut Narikbayev University supported the initiative of the Head of State and decided to provide direct assistance to those in difficult situations.

Based on its main mission - service to society, the university actively participated in this appeal and provided material and financial assistance to victims of natural disasters.

Currently, the university has donated significant funds to flood relief charities. MNU students organized a charity fair and sent humanitarian aid to the regions of Kostanay and Atyrau together with the Ukrainian National University. The university also intends to allocate 10 grants for the education of flood-affected students. In addition, in order to provide additional support to the grantees, he put forward a proposal to allocate an extraordinary place in the student house. It should be noted that the collection of humanitarian aid to flood-affected areas will continue.
