Today is the 155th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Viktorovich Zatayevich, a composer, ethnographer-scientist, the first folk artist of the Kazakh SSR, who studied the traditional national music of Kazakhs and many people and he recorded it.
As a result of his meetings with Kazakh intellectuals, well-known singer-songwriters, and ordinary people, he published the collections "1000 Kazakh songs" in 1925, and "500 Kazakh songs and tunes" in 1931. A.V. Kazakh songs and tunes, musical heritage, collected and recorded by Zataevich spread all over the world. At the same time, the famous ethnographer and talented composer laid the foundations of Kazakh chamber music.
