Mazhilis adopted a law that completely prohibits the import, production and sale of vapes in Kazakhstan. Violators will be held criminally responsible, reports the national portal "Adyrna".
The Law "On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts on Healthcare Issues" provides for criminal liability for illegal circulation of vapes:
The maximum penalty for selling vape is up to 50 days in prison;
for import and distribution - imprisonment for up to 2 years;
for the same actions committed by a criminal group, or in a very large amount or several times, shall be punished by imprisonment for a term of up to 5 years.
In addition, in order to give the medical staff the opportunity to choose the optimal methods of treatment based on the individual characteristics of the patient, the mandatory use of the clinical protocol during the provision of medical care was removed.
