The US and the EU plan to take tough measures against countries that help Russia circumvent sanctions. This was announced by the Chairman of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and the President of the United States, Joe Biden, at a meeting held in Washington, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.
"We are ready to take joint action against actors in third countries who are supporting Russia from anywhere in the world to help them wage war," said Ursula von der Leyen and Joe Biden.
The European Union and the United States have announced new measures to "further weaken" the Russian military-industrial complex.
"We will continue to support Ukraine and reduce Russia's ability to wage war. We will strengthen enforcement of our sanctions to prevent evasion and circumvention. We must cut off the supply routes that continue to fuel the Russian military machine, and we will sanction those involved," Ursula von der Leyen said in a post on Twitter.
