The accountant of the regional children's hospital in Taldykorgan sent 116 millions tenge of the state to a bookmaker. Representatives of the Zhetysu regional economic investigation department stated that the arrested accountant had been spending budget funds on gambling for more than a year, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.
According to the department, he transferred the money to his bank card and then deposited it in his personal bookmaker account. Now the suspect has fully confessed his guilt.
It should be noted that three months ago it was reported that medical workers of Taldykorgan regional children's hospital have not been paid pensions, social and medical payments for several months. Now the management of the health department has informed that they have paid the medical workers in full. And the accountant's case is currently being considered in court.
"The total amount transferred over a period of more than one year is 116 millions tenge. His action in the case is a serious crime. He is sentenced to 7-12 years of imprisonment," said Aslan Bidasov, an investigator for important cases of Zhetysu regional economic investigation department.
