Winners of international Olympiads who are candidates for "Golden badge" are exempted from the final exam if necessary. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education, the national portal "Adyrna" wrote.

The Ministry of Education has initiated changes to the existing order on awarding the "Golden Label".

Starting from this academic year, the best students in general education subjects and the winners of the international Olympiads for the last three years, candidates for the "Golden badge" badge, if necessary, will be exempted from the final exams and will receive the badge of excellence.

Grade 11 graduates may be exempted from final certification if they participate in training sessions to prepare for international Olympiads.

"Previously, the winners of the international Olympiads applying for the "Golden Label" were automatically deprived of the "Golden Label" if they attended summer training camps, prepared for international Olympiads and competitions, and failed to pass the exam during the final certification. Now graduates can get it. It should be rated as "excellent". Now, comprehensive work is being done to support gifted children. This change was also accepted for the benefit of children," explained Gulmira Karimova, chairman of the Secondary Education Committee of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
