K. Tokayev expressed his opinion on the creation and formation of the New Kazakhstan at a meeting of the National Constituent Assembly, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.
"Obviously, the new Kazakhstan will not be created in a day or a year. This is a complex and long process that will change the whole society. Of course, it is not enough for one government to do this. If we work together as a whole, we will achieve our goal. That is why I initiated the convening of the National Congress in my Address.
As you know, the convening of the Kurultay is an ancient tradition. Our ancestors discussed important issues at such a meeting. The people came to an agreement in consultation with each other. Such decisions unite the whole country.
In our own history, there were kurultai that decided the fate of the nation. Many of them were held at an important time for our people. After the Talas Kurultai, the Golden Horde became an independent state. Kurultays of Karakum and Ordabasy united our people to defend the country. At the first Kazakh kurultai in Orenburg, the Alash party was formed. Alash autonomy was declared at the second kurultai, ”K. Tokayev said.
