After the country's power shortages began, the government cut off power to all mines. They have recently reopened. The Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan, Bolat Akchulakov, informed, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.

He explained that he had no objections to mining as a profession, but that the country's energy security should come first.

“When the shortage started, we stopped all miners. After all, there was a choice between important enterprises, people and miners. We had to cut off communication with the miners. They didn't work until they started rebuilding power systems, "Akchulakov said.
