In the first quarter of 2022, 38,281 people left Russia for Georgia, 134,129 for Armenia, 53,084 for Uzbekistan and 40,054 for Tajikistan.
328 thousand people left Russia for Ukraine and 204 947 for Kazakhstan. In the same period of 2021, this figure was about 122,330, and in the last quarter of 2021 - 239,413.
In late March, Minister of Labor and Social Protection Serik Shapkenov said that there was not a large influx of migrant workers from Russia to Kazakhstan.
"Today we do not see a large influx of migrant workers from Russia. Now there are about 100 thousand Russians in Kazakhstan. 6 thousand of them have come to work since the beginning of 2022," he said.
